2/6/2006: Poll Adds Survey Functionality and Fun to Web Sites
CoolWebToys has introduced the second toy in their upcoming array of web-based web master utilities: Poll, which is a web-based survey tool that allows web master of any type of site or server configuration to install and easily maintain a fully-featured and customizable survey..

Web masters start by registering for the tool through the CoolWebToys site. Customization options such as color and size and width are specified during this process.

The web master then places the question in the question box they want to pose to users of their site. They then place the answers to those questions that allow users to offer their opinion on the question. After the users answer the question, they are able to see the results of the poll without leaving the web master’s site.

A “more details” button is at the bottom of the poll, which loads a secondary page allowing the user to see more details about others who have voted in the poll, such as which geographic location they are from, when the user voted, browser details and other details that are automatically recorded.

After registration, the web master is then given a single line of code that they can add virtually anywhere on their site. Users can then take part in the poll, which shows the entire voting results in a graphical format.

Web masters who elect to be a part of the ranking directory can do so by completing a few easy steps after sign-up. Web masters who have an Internet business or are involved in Internet marketing will find the directory feature extremely useful, as it will help their rank in the search engines.

A category is selected from one of the many categories available, and the web master will want to select the category to match the content on their site for the best search engine results.

The privacy of the web master and the users that use the site is protected by tools built into the system; Other users would not be able to discover any information outside of the identity that the web master or other users provide publicly.

Poll works with any server configuration, and is designed to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer and the Firefox browsers.
